With your host, best selling author and master life and business coach, Molly Claire. Hey coaches, big news, before we dive into this episode. If you are listening to this the day that it airs, we have a live webinar coming up tomorrow, Thursday, September 14th. I am doing the Create Your Killer program free webinar. Back by request. I have an on demand version, but many people wanted it live, wanted that interaction. So that is exactly what we're doing. So make sure to go to my website, mollyclaire.com, where you can sign up and join us there. All right, coaches, let's dive into this week's episode. Hey coaches. I'm so excited to be back with you after quite a break this summer. Let me tell you, it really was amazing to be able to have so much downtime this summer. I definitely put some time and energy into the Create Your Killer Program process that I am loving doing with those of you, by the way, that are doing it. And I'm thrilled to be doing one more enrollment of it because we had so much interest that I'm doing another group in October, finishing up before Thanksgiving. So it was really fun to dive into that this summer and work on that. And also to have time and space in my life and to just be able to reset. So I hope you loved all of the interviews. They were phenomenal guests, if you ask me. I hope you love them just as much as I did. And by the way, if you did, please take the time to leave a review. Give a shout out to these experts because I just really value each of them as a person, as human beings, and for the gifts that they bring as well. All right. So listen, today's episode is for you if you love the idea of accomplishing more in your business, more quickly, with less stress, less hustle, and with more clarity and simplicity. I'm talking with you today about the 'learn and do' process. This is not rocket science, but it is, it works. It's simple and it works. I have used it with every single program - structured program - that I have created. I use it in Create Your Killer Program and I use it in my advanced certification and many other things I've done over the years. So that's what we're talking about today. So if you like this idea of simplicity, of moving forward without stress and overwhelm, get ready to take notes, even if they're mental notes. If you're walking, get ready to take mental notes. So in today's episode, I'm going to talk with you about what the 'learn and do' process is. Why it matters for you. And also help you notice some of your personal patterns that may be an indication that this process would be helpful for you. I'm going to talk about specifically what it looks like with my clients in Create Your Killer Program because I think that real life example will help you to just understand the simplicity of it and how it works. And I'll also talk with you about how it looks in my Advanced Certification program. And then those of you that are interested in those programs that will be opening, we have a fall enrollment for Create Your Killer Program. And I'm also enrolling Advanced Certification for those of you that are going to be starting in January. So if you've been wanting to do Advanced Certification in motherhood and family life coaching, you are in luck. We will start in January, but we are going to fill those spots this fall. So if you're interested in either of those, this will also really give you a chance to understand what is behind the scenes in those programs. And if you're really just wanting to take in this 'learn and do' process and make this change, it will help you to understand how you can apply it to you. All right. Okay. So, coach, let's dive in. How many of you find that you spend a lot of time consuming information trying to understand all the things about business or marketing or coaching, and you find yourself struggling to actually put it into action? Maybe it's because of a little bit of perfectionism, maybe some fraud complex, maybe it's that, "Well, I'll do it when..." Or, "I need to know more. I need to learn more." This idea that I will be ready at some point in the future. But you and I both know you're never going to feel ready, right? You're just going to keep consuming. And how about the opposite end of the spectrum? How many of you find yourself creating and creating and creating and doing, and never really slowing down enough to have a solid strategy? To consume enough to make sure that what you are creating actually effective. So what I've seen in working with my clients is that typically people fall on one end or the other of this spectrum. And so what I'm offering you today as you think about the 'learn and do' process is a way for those of you who fall on the consumption side to help your brain get on board with taking more action, more often. And those of you that are heavily on the creating, creating, creating side will help your brain get on board with taking a minute to learn just enough to have just enough strategy so that the action you're taking is effective. Sounds pretty good, right? Yes. Okay. So the 'learn and do' process is simply this. When I work with my clients in a program, I teach them just enough information to be ready to take that one next action to implement it right away. And once the information is downloaded into their brain and put into action, we move to the next thing they need to consume and do. And this is especially very clear in the Create Your Killer Program program, which I'll tell you about in just a minute. So let's talk about how this is going to help you help your brain to change your patterns. If you are someone who errs on the side of always consuming, never feeling ready, wanting it to be better, wanting to know more, by having a very specific, smaller objective that you're working toward, and committing that you will learn enough to take that step and then you will take that action, it almost creates this little container for you, where you're already telling your brain, I don't need to know more before taking this step. And it gives you the clarity and confidence that you will be ready to take that step, which is everything. Now, those of you that tend to be on the creating side. The way this helps you is by assuring you that you won't be stuck in consuming and learning forever. Yes, you will be able to create very soon, and all you need to do is take enough time just to get enough information and move forward. And my hope is that wherever you are on this spectrum, this brings you a sense of, "Yeah, that sounds doable. I can do that." And this really is a matter of baby steps and creating the 'learn and do' habit in your brain. So let's talk about what this looks like in Create Your Killer Program. So let's imagine for a minute that you are ready to create a program for your clients. The whole purpose of the program is to create a quality program that gets results for your clients, and sells. Meaning has a strong offer. That is it, right? So if you imagine as a client in this program, there's already a container around one element of your business that you're working on. So powerful right there, right? Just taking that step forward. And then this is what it looks like throughout the program. And as I talk about this, think about the power in learning something small and taking that action and committing to it. When you enter into the learning portal, the first thing you're going to do is, if you haven't decided who exactly your program is for, you're going to watch a short training that is going to have a worksheet with it that helps you make that determination before moving to the next step. It is a simple process, one that eliminates all the confusion and overwhelm, and that is the only task in front of you. Next step, you're going to have a program creation overview. This is all the information to know and understand what steps you're going to be taking. You'll be amazed when you take the time to have clarity, no matter what you're working on in your business, to understand what it is that's coming, how much that can shut out the noise in your brain and help you to take that next step. The next step after that is looking at the structure and details of the program. Nothing else, right? We're not necessarily talking about marketing or sales. We're just talking about structure and the details. And we walk through each piece of it. And then you take the action. You make the decisions. Next up, program content and the offer or marketing related to it. So notice, if that is all that you're working on in this step, you only have to know enough information to do those pieces. Right? Then, with the worksheet taking you step by step, there are no unanswered questions. It truly is such a no brainer because all you have to do is take those steps one by one. Now, you may be thinking, okay, well, that's fine, but I'm not in your program or I'm not ready to do that right now. But think about how you can incorporate this in whatever you are working on. If you look at your list of things you're doing right now. How broad is that list? How many things are you spreading your attention thin across? And so, as you think about how I have this program structured, think about how you can do that for what you're working on. Do you pick something specific? Do you break it down? Do you have just enough information for each step and then a plan to take action? I know this can take a little bit of time, but trust me, it is worth it. Let's just go through the rest of this and then I'll talk with you more about how the process works in Advanced Certification, so you can have even a different view of this and hopefully apply it to you. So, of course, next you would choose what you're going to create. What are those deliverables? Answer all the questions about it. You watch the training, you answer the questions, you're ready for the next step. Create deliverables. This is where I help my clients really go through any obstacles that will get in the way of them moving forward. We talk about it in detail. We take the action ready to go. Next step is stick with the plan and finally teaching my clients to adapt and tweak. So think about all these tiny steps along the way, with only the objective of creating a quality program that gets results and has a marketing offer. Now, we all know, as coaches, that there are a whole bunch of things outside of that small space of creating a strong program. That you will be doing that you will be learning. But there is so much value in drawing a line around the one thing that you will be doing and zeroing in on each step of the way and committing to learning just enough and then taking the right kind of action to be effective and doing it over and over again. What do you think? As you're listening to this, how possible does this seem to you? Do you see the value in taking a minute to break it down and perhaps helping your perfectionist brain to know, I will know enough to take this next step. Or maybe telling your creative brain. It's okay. You're not going to have to slow down for too long. We're going to get just enough information and then you can create. There is so much power in this process. And this is why I love it. I will do it in every program I ever create until the day I die or the day I close my business. Okay, let's talk a little bit about what this looks like in Advanced Certification. Because you might wonder, "Okay, well, this makes sense considering, Molly, that you're just talking about the business pieces, right, where you're actually creating something tangible for marketing or for clients. But what about with continued education, right? Like Advanced Certification." So, in Advanced Certification, I committed to doing the same 'learn and do' process. Because, while learning the materials and discussing it with my small group in Advanced Certification is amazing, and while we do our case study calls, again, where we're talking about actual client examples and working through it, it's so amazing. And I also know and have seen the value in having a coach, or anyone I'm ever working with, actually take something they've learned and put it into action in a tangible way. So I'm just going to talk through three of the things that we go through because it's such a comprehensive program. And I think that you'll get the idea of it just from me talking about these few items. So as a coach starts Advanced Certification, they learn about client success and how to ensure that happens with their clients. Why? Well, I can teach them all the advanced training in the world. I can teach them new concepts. I can teach them new strategies, right? But if they're not understanding the basics about how to serve their clients in a way that they can be effective, it's not worth nearly as much, right? So that's where we start. That is the first place we start. And then guess what? My clients, my advanced coaches, have a project that is the 'do' portion. So now what they're going to do is actually do something, create something, for their clients. They're taking the concepts that they've learned about how to ensure their clients are successful and they're creating something within their business. One of the topics we cover is advanced emotional wellness. We take a deep dive into emotion work. We flip all the cognitive concepts upside down, inside out, and we do this for a couple of weeks. Once we've done the advanced emotional wellness section, we've discussed it, and we've understood it, then my clients do. They create something for their program, for their clients, to integrate the emotional wellness work into their work and practice. And keep in mind that with everything they've learned, they're just picking one piece of it to integrate and to create something with. So hopefully you're getting the idea. We can learn and learning is amazing. And I think we should continue our education. And of course we need to continue learning about business. But what are we doing with what we're learning? And is it being effective? One of the last things I'll speak to in Advanced Certification, we learn about family connection, independence, and individuality. This is a whole other section. And as you can imagine, there is so much to be gained from it. And so rather than just throwing all of this information at my clients, what I know is that the 'learn and do' is going to help them narrow in and actually create something that they feel confident in using with their clients. So that's just what they do. They take one of the components of that connection, independence, and individuality and they create something for their clients. It might be a video training. It might be a worksheet. It might be a process that they use on the coaching sessions, but this allows them to take what they know intellectually and really put it into practice. All right, so coaches, I hope this is giving you a good idea of the importance of learning and doing. Learning just enough and doing just enough so that you're not stuck in consumption and you are not in a pattern or a habit of always creating and not being effective in what you are creating. As I finish up this episode, a few questions for you. Number one, where do you find yourself struggling to follow a process like this of 'learn and do'? Do you get caught in learning? Do you get caught up in doing? I want you to also consider for you listening to this and thinking about bringing this 'learn and do' approach, how do you decide what is next for you? What are you needing to create? Or what skills are you needing to build for you and your business? And one more question; how will you move forward with strategic action today? You've learned enough here. Now go and do. What will you do with this? All right, coaches. Listen, any of you that are interested in working with me, I am doing a small group of Create A Killer Program this fall. We start the beginning of October. So we are enrolling now and we are finalizing enrollment so we will be done with the program before Thanksgiving. It is a six week intensive. It is the perfect time to be able to create a killer program and be set up for the new year. Also, we will be doing Advanced Certification in motherhood and family life in January. So if that has been on your radar, please reach out to my team. I am just working with a small intimate group. You can message [email protected]. Let her know you're interested. It is going to be amazing. And I cannot think of a better way to kick off the new year. All right, coaches, that's what I've got for you. I'll see you next week.
